A visitor is one person on one day: someone who visits on three different days counts three times. Views = every page they opened.

Founding students get the whole course free. The first sign-ups fill the spots automatically (first come, first served) and the homepage counter updates by itself — nothing to approve. You can still click Make founding student to give someone a spot by hand. Revoking access frees the spot again.
