Booking a kayak tour

Timeabout 15 minutesQuestions10, like a real Part 1
Listening

Someone phones to book a kayak tour. Listening Part 1 is always an everyday conversation with a form or notes to complete, and it tests the basics that lose easy marks: names spelled out, phone numbers, dates, prices, and answers that change. You don't need a recording. Pick how you want to hear it below.

2Read the questions, then listen

In the real test you get time to read the questions first. Use it to guess what kind of answer each one needs.

Gap 1A surname that will be spelled out. Write each letter.
Gap 2A phone number. Listen for a correction.
Gaps 3, 5, 6, 9Numbers: a date, how many people, a price, an age.
Gaps 4, 7, 8, 10Words. Careful: other options will be mentioned first.

Questions 1–10 · Complete the form. Write one word and/or a number for each answer.
